Alyssa Proujansky L.Ac, MSTOM

Alyssa Proujansky is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, writer and editor. She has over sixteen years of experience in clinical practice, with a special focus on fertility, reproductive and hormonal health, mental health, gastrointestinal disorders and internal medicine.

Menstrual difficulties, fertility, hormonal balance, supporting healthy pregnancies, labor preparation and postpartum care, and the transitions of perimenopause and menopause are all particular areas of expertise. Alyssa has guided countless patients on their journeys to conceive, whether through IVF, IUI, or natural methods.

Alyssa believes that acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can be very effective tools in navigating mental health concerns, both on their own and alongside Western medical care. She supports patients managing chronic stress, physical and emotional trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, addictions, disordered eating, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PMS and PMDD, among others.

She has also had great success treating digestive issues, chronic and acute pain and fatigue, Lyme disease, and other complex internal conditions, supporting both immediate relief and long-term balance.

Alyssa’s own journey with acupuncture taught her how deeply connected emotional and physical health truly are, and she brings that understanding to every session. Known for her attention to detail, empathy, humor and creativity, Alyssa takes the time to listen and understand the unique layers of each patient’s story. Her individualized treatment plans use acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and nutritional support to help patients feel empowered, balanced and well.
