Our Buccal Massage is a 50-minute treatment that works facial muscles you can't reach from the outside. Your practitioner massages the muscles of the jaw, cheeks, and lower face both externally and internally, using a gloved finger inside the mouth, to release tension that builds up from clenching, chewing, and stress. This inside-and-out approach reaches muscle layers that a traditional facial can't touch, which is why it's especially effective for jaw tightness, TMJ discomfort, and facial asymmetry. It's a deep, active treatment (more deep massage than pampering), and most patients feel looser through the jaw and cheeks immediately afterward, with more definition emerging over the following days.
*You can receive the Buccal Facial two weeks after Botox or fillers. Please inform your practitioner of the areas where you received injections. Blowouts are not recommended before your facial. While we avoid heavy oils, our treatments include neck, scalp, and hairline massage.
This treatment works both outside and inside the mouth to reach facial muscles that traditional massage can't access. After a consultation to understand your goals and comfort level, your practitioner uses precise manual techniques on the muscles of the jaw and cheeks, including intraoral massage (performed with a gloved finger) to release tightness, encourage lymphatic flow, and enhance natural facial tone. The treatment closes with external techniques and product application to support skin health and radiance.
Sculpts & Defines: Gently releases tension and works deeper muscle layers to help naturally enhance your facial definition and contour, like a workout for your face
Relieves Tension: Targets muscles linked to jaw clenching, TMJ discomfort, headaches, and stress held in the face
Boosts Circulation & Glow: Stimulates blood flow and lymphatic drainage for a brighter, healthier-looking complexion
Promotes Relaxation: Encourages nervous system regulation and deep relaxation, supporting both emotional and physical ease
Your session opens with a consultation to talk through your goals and comfort level, since this treatment is more hands-on than a typical facial. Unlike a traditional facial, this treatment does not include steam or extractions; the focus is entirely on hands-on massage and release work. Using a gloved finger, your practitioner works inside the mouth alongside precise external techniques, addressing the jaw and cheek muscles from both sides at once; this intraoral work reaches muscle layers that a facial worked from the outside alone can't touch.
Expect firm, targeted pressure, especially around the jaw, and it's common to feel some tenderness or soreness in the jaw and cheeks for a day or so afterward, particularly if you tend to clench or hold tension there. The less tension you're holding, the less discomfort you'll feel, and you'll still get the same sculpting and definition benefits either way; for most patients, soreness also eases with each additional treatment. The treatment closes with soothing external techniques and product application to calm the skin. Most patients feel noticeably looser through the jaw right away, with more definition emerging over the following days.
As with most therapeutic bodywork, results build with consistency. Your practitioner will recommend a personalized series based on your goals, and future sessions may be adjusted to focus on different areas of the jaw and face as you progress.
Buccal Massage is a strong fit if you hold tension in your jaw or face, whether from clenching, TMJ discomfort, or stress, and you're looking for improved facial definition, relaxation, and skin vitality through deep, hands-on work rather than a light-touch facial.
Because part of the treatment takes place inside the mouth and works deep into the jaw muscles, it's worth knowing going in that some tenderness or jaw soreness afterward is normal; this is best for patients comfortable with that trade-off in exchange for real release. It's not the right choice if you're looking for a purely relaxing, low-pressure facial experience.
Please note: This treatment is not recommended during pregnancy or for clients currently in active cancer treatment. If either applies to you, please check with your physician before booking.
