Treatment Benefits of Cupping

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, blockages in our body’s channels can often lead to disease. Cupping is great for treating tight muscles, lung congestion and even Gastrointestinal disorders.

Like traditional acupuncture, our cupping treatment creates a micro-trauma to the skin, which gives the message to your body to increase circulation to help heal that area.
Cupping at ORA Method
At ORA Method, cupping is offered as its own standalone service or as an add-on to acupuncture, so you can experience it wherever it best fits into your wellness journey.
Standalone Cupping Session
A focused treatment for tight muscles, knots, and stagnation. Your practitioner applies cups across areas of tension to increase circulation, release deep tightness, and support muscle recovery. Perfect for stress, posture-related pain, or soreness from movement, you’ll leave feeling lighter, open, and deeply relaxed.
Acupuncture With Cupping Add-On
Cupping becomes even more effective when paired with acupuncture. Your session begins with body needles to regulate the nervous system and improve flow, followed by targeted cupping to soften tension, reduce inflammation, and accelerate relief. This combination delivers deeper, more lasting results.
Essential Extended Session With Cupping Included
Our Essential Extended Acupuncture session offers more time for restoration, and includes an add-on like cupping. With longer treatment time, your practitioner can address multiple concerns, ease tension more thoroughly, and encourage full-body recalibration. Ideal for ongoing issues, chronic tightness, or when you need a complete reset.

What to Know Before Your Cupping Session
Cupping increases circulation in areas of tension, which may leave temporary marks that look like bruises but are painless and typically fade within 3–7 days. These marks are a natural response and indicate areas where stagnation or tightness was released.
After your session, staying hydrated, avoiding intense workouts for the remainder of the day, and keeping the treated area warm are recommended to support recovery. Mild soreness can occur, similar to a deep massage, and usually resolves quickly.
Your practitioner will guide you through placement, intensity, and aftercare so you feel comfortable throughout the experience.
